CONNECT WITH JAPAN WITH THE FRAGRANT BEAUTY OF KHANH HOA AGARWOOD
Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary visits and works with the President of the Japan International Trade Promotion Association
With the aim of enhancing cooperation, introducing potentials, and promoting investment for Khanh Hoa province in the land of the rising sun, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hai Ninh and the delegation had an effective visit and work in Japan.
Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hai Ninh presented an Agarwood Fan made by Khanh Hoa Agarwood Company as a diplomatic gift to Mr. Kono Yohei.
From November 6-11, a working delegation of Khanh Hoa province led by Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Le Huu Hoang, Standing Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee as deputy head of the delegation, along with leaders of departments, branches, and many leading enterprises of the province, visited and worked in Japan to strengthen cooperation, introduce potentials, advantages, and promote investment in the land of the rising sun.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh and the working delegation had a friendly meeting with Mr. Yohei Kono - Mr. Kono Yohei is a famous politician, he has held many important positions such as Speaker of the House of Representatives, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief of the Cabinet Office of Japan. Mr. Kono Yohei is currently the Chairman of the Japan International Trade Promotion Association. (Mr. Yohei Kono's son is Kono Taro, candidate for Prime Minister of Japan, current Minister of Digital Technology of Japan) and Mr. Katsuhito Asano, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, former Deputy Minister of Defense of Japan.
Up to now, Japan has become the largest foreign investor in Khanh Hoa with 6 projects with a total registered investment capital of 2.652 billion USD, accounting for nearly 70% of total FDI capital.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh shared the purpose of his visit to Japan, the good results of the first promotion conference of the province in Hiroshima, and at the same time introduced the general potential, strengths, needs and priority fields and industries to attract investment in Khanh Hoa.
He emphasized that with the orientation of becoming a centrally-governed city by 2030, Khanh Hoa has great opportunities for domestic and foreign investors, especially Japan.
Khanh Hoa is deploying infrastructure for Van Phong economic zone and expressway projects. The province has National Highway 1A running through it; Cam Ranh international port with the 4th largest passenger transport capacity in Vietnam and deep-water ports.
Khanh Hoa is identified as a growth pole, the center of the South Central Coast, Central Highlands and the whole country in terms of marine economy, high-tech industry, science and technology, innovation... The local GRDP per capita is among the 15 highest provinces and cities in the country. Khanh Hoa with its outstanding advantages in terms of sea and islands, temperate climate, beautiful scenery, especially agarwood and bird's nest products has long been very popular with the Japanese.
During the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuong - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Agarwood Company introduced the cultural and spiritual values that contribute to defining Khanh Hoa Agarwood Land, which is being honored in many countries around the world, including Japan.
Khanh Hoa Agarwood has always been present in noble and solemn places, from royal palaces to sacred places, as a messenger connecting people with the world of gods. Wherever there is Agarwood, there is a concentration of spirit. Therefore, offering Agarwood becomes a sacred ritual, when people pray to reflect on their hearts before the light of the gods. Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh hopes that Mr. Yohei Kono, as Chairman of the Japan International Trade Promotion Association, will support the promotion and development of investment projects in Khanh Hoa, especially in Van Phong Economic Zone in the following areas: Tourism, industrial parks; health care, especially for the elderly; software technology centers; promoting the opening of charter flights, moving towards opening a direct commercial flight route between Japan and Vietnam, promoting tourism development because currently, many Japanese people do not know about Khanh Hoa.
Mr. Yohei Kono assessed that this is the best time to strengthen the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan, because Vietnam is a country with great development potential.
He also pledged to contribute to promoting investment from Japan to Khanh Hoa, believing in the development of Khanh Hoa province in the future. The cooperation of localities will certainly contribute to the development of good relations between the two countries. He also highly appreciated Khanh Hoa's unique products such as bird's nest and unique valuable products made from Agarwood of Khanh Hoa Agarwood Company.
The choice of Japan - a country with the world's leading economy and science and technology - to strengthen cooperation has demonstrated the vision of Khanh Hoa province's leaders in attracting investors and projects in the direction of using high technology, clean technology, environmentally friendly, with high added value, contributing to promoting rapid and sustainable socio-economic development.
Japan becoming the largest foreign investor in Khanh Hoa has demonstrated the success of the province's investment attraction policy and from there, as a sign of "good land for birds to nest", it will attract world-class investors to do business in this land of Agarwood and bird's nest forests.

Resolution 09 of the Politburo on the construction and development of Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045 and Resolution 55 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Khanh Hoa province have determined that Khanh Hoa will become a centrally-run city by 2030, on the basis of maximizing the potential and advantages of the sea; an international sea tourism and service center; a growth pole, the center of the South Central Coast, Central Highlands and the whole country.
By actively attracting investment, especially investment promotion trips to countries with leading economies and science such as Japan, the leaders of Khanh Hoa province, headed by Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hai Ninh, are making efforts to implement Resolution 09 of the Politburo and Resolution 55 of the National Assembly, bringing the province to rapid and sustainable development.
