Our chairman: Mr Nguyen Van Tuong

Born in Hung Yen, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuong was familiar with the hard work of farming in his hometown. When he grew up, he joined the army, marched through the Central region, and then became an officer of the Voice of Vietnam Radio Station, stationed in the Central Highlands, as he had dreamed of in his childhood.
He thought his life would be attached to news and microphones, but at this time, he "fell in love" with Agarwood. In 1997, in the Central Highlands, there was a movement to plant Aquilaria trees (Agarwood is born from Aquilaria trees). At that time, he went to learn and was very impressed with the economic potential of this special tree.
The more he learned, the more "hypnotized" he was. He realized that Agarwood is an extremely valuable product that the whole world craves. Agarwood is only found in 6 countries, but Vietnamese Agarwood is the best. In the future, Agarwood will be the most important source of supply for premium aromatics in pharmaceuticals and perfumes. Therefore, this will not be a tree to alleviate poverty, but a tree to get rich.
That thought urged him to bring Agarwood out of the "darkness". At that time, Agarwood was a banned commodity, and trading Agarwood would be confiscated.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tuong had to organize many seminars, write articles, meet with key figures in the agricultural sector at that time to convince them to remove Agarwood from the list of banned goods, and finally Agarwood was removed from the list of banned goods. The ban was lifted, he resigned from his job at the Voice of Vietnam Radio Station, returned to Nha Trang and established Khanh Hoa Agarwood Company.
In the early days of establishing the company, Mr. Tuong traveled to many countries around the world to research and open up the market, that journey was as arduous as "looking for agarwood with wormwood in his mouth". Up to now, this man's journey has helped Vietnam export a lot of Agarwood to major markets such as China, Japan, Taiwan, UAE, and the US. Khanh Hoa ATC Agarwood Company has become more and more prosperous, becoming a Vietnamese brand that is favored at home and abroad.
For many years, businessman Nguyen Van Tuong has been working hard to build an Agarwood "ecosystem" with a different and creative mindset. For him, Agarwood is not only for enjoying the fragrance but also has many other great values that are enough to create a strong economic sector. He is making wine, tea, perfume and researching the production of cancer medicine from Agarwood.

He also invested in building the unique Khanh Hoa Agarwood Museum - becoming an unmissable destination in the tourist city of Nha Trang and opening free of charge to serve visitors. Recently, the Museum was awarded the record of the first Agarwood Museum in Vietnam by the Vietnam Guinness Book of Records.

On the occasion of the 30/4/2019 holiday, Khanh Hoa Agarwood Company coordinated with VTV to organize the art program "Khanh Hoa Agarwood - The Spirit of Heaven and Earth", in which for the first time in Vietnam, there was an agarwood offering ceremony on a unique stage, close to Nha Trang beach. Sharing about this event, Mr. Tuong said: "I want to contribute a little effort to develop Agarwood to become a source of pride associated with intelligence, compassion, tolerance, and to elevate the image of Vietnamese people in the world. Khanh Hoa Agarwood is a product of high economic value, not only contributing significantly to the economic development of the province but also a unique cultural mark associated with the spiritual life of the land and people of Vietnam".

Good wine needs no bush, in 2019, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuong became the first Vietnamese businessman to be personally invited to attend the World Leaders Alliance Forum (Club de Madrid) in Spain. The forum brought together 102 former heads of state from 60 countries along with hundreds of scholars and famous businessmen. At this forum, he told the story of Agarwood, which is also the story of Vietnam: Through pain, it has always been a benevolent and peace-loving nation.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tuong also devoted much to the sea and islands and researched the marine economy. He organized the first incense offering ceremony in Vietnam by Nha Trang Bay, organized the incense offering ceremony at Hang Duong Con Dao cemetery on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, supported fishermen on Ly Son Island and the Central Coast with 100 tons of rice in the program "Helping fishermen protect the sea", sent thousands of cubic meters of organic soil to Truong Sa to develop the Gio Bau tree growing area, ... During the trip with the Khanh Hoa province delegation to Truong Sa in early May 2022, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuong was awarded the medal: "For the cause of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands" by Rear Admiral Nguyen The Tot.
